Getting started

How do I invite friends to a group?

Open the group and share its invitation link, by message or by email. If your friend already has the app, they join the group directly. Otherwise, they install MeetingFriends, then reopen your link to join the group.

Do I have to connect my calendar?

No. You can suggest dates and collect answers without connecting any calendar. Connecting one finds the slots when everyone is free automatically.

I don’t receive notifications

First check that notifications for MeetingFriends are allowed in your phone’s settings. In the app, Profile → Notifications lets you choose what you receive.

Calendars

Which calendars can I connect?

Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar (iCloud), from Profile → Availability. For iCloud, Apple asks for an app-specific password, which you create in your Apple Account settings: you can revoke it at any time without changing your main password.

What do my friends see of my calendar?

Only whether you are free or busy. MeetingFriends does not use the title of your appointments, their location or their attendees, and does not keep them.

My calendar is no longer taken into account

If access to your calendar has expired or been removed, the app tells you. Reconnect it from Profile → Availability.

Search credits and Premium

What are search credits?

The automatic search for shared slots uses credits: a search that finds at least one slot uses one credit, a search with no result costs nothing. You earn one credit for each of your first 2 groups created, and one credit each time someone creates an account through your invitation, verifies their email and joins your group. Only the group’s creator can run a search. With Premium, searches are unlimited.

What does Premium change?

The free plan lets you create up to 2 groups of 4 people, including you, and to connect 1 calendar. Premium unlocks unlimited groups of up to 30 members, unlimited availability searches, and Google, Apple and Outlook together.

How do I cancel my subscription?

The subscription is managed in your App Store or Google Play account; Profile → Subscription takes you there. Deleting the app or your MeetingFriends account does not cancel the subscription.

Account and data

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot Password?” and follow the link sent to you by email.

I lost access to my authenticator app

If you turned on two-step verification, sign in with one of your recovery codes (“Use a recovery code”). If you have none left, write to us from your account’s email address.

How do I block or report someone?

In a group, tap a member: you can report or block them. Blocked people are managed in Profile → Blocked users.

How do I get my data?

Profile → Privacy & Security → “Create your data file” prepares a file with your MeetingFriends data.

How do I delete my account?

Profile → Privacy & Security → “Delete Account”. Deletion is permanent. The groups you created are deleted for all their members, with their events and photos. An active subscription is cancelled separately in the App Store or Google Play.

Didn’t find your answer?

Write to us: a person reads every message and answers in French or English.
